Grocery shopping, round 2.

Well if I thought I did good last time, I definitely did awesome this time! I did spend more than last time but I got a LOT more! I went to 3 stores today. Albertsons, Safeway and Fred Meyer. Let's start with Albertsons:

2 Seattle Times = $2/ea (Chris could only find me 2 yesterday)
International Delights Creamer $2.49/ea - $3/2 store coupon - $0.55 MQ (x2) = $0.96/ea
5 Nature Valley granola bars $1.75/ea (wyb 5) = $8.75 (and received $3 off next order catalina and free milk catalina)
Chex Mix $1.75 (wyb 5 participating products)
2 pkgs Corn Tortilla $3/2 and free shredded cheese!
Bananas $0.69/lb = $2.17
2 pkgs Frozen Corn $1/ea = $2
Chicken Breasts $0.99/lb = $2.10 + $2.31 = $4.41 for 4 breasts

I spent $28.08 and saved $30.75.  $58.83 worth of product for $28.08. A savings of 52% (and that was with very few coupons!)

Next is Safeway. This was my biggest and most impressive stop.

Transaction #1:

Between the 2 transactions I spent $63.35 and saved $89.68. $153.03 worth of product for $63.35. PLUS I got 3 bonuses for buying 10 boxes of Kellogg's. I got 2 FREE movie tickets, $10 mail in rebate with Kellogg's AND 2 $5 gas cards with codes on the boxes!!

So grand total for all 3 stores I spent $110.35 and saved $126.95. $237.30 worth of product for $110.35!! Plus 2 free movie tickets, $10 mail in rebate, 2 $5 gas cards, $1 off catalina for Safeway, $3 off catalina for Albertsons and free milk (up to $4.50) catalina for Albertsons!
